Migratory phenomena and globalization are processes that have led to the transformation of contemporary society by increasing the religious pluralism. Religious diversity is one of the challenges of contemporary constitutionalism. The paper, after analysing the relationship between immigration, secularism and multiculturalism, aims to find a solution in order to pursue effective protection for religious diversity of migrants in the European context. The contribution of comparative law and the study of Indian secularism (based on the universal value of religious tolerance) can represent the starting point for the rediscovery of certain values such as religious dignity, social solidarity and human fraternity in Europe
